The Semiahmoo Rotary Club, in partnership with the City of Surrey, Surrey School District - Ideas36, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, White Rock Rotary Club and Central City Rotary Club, is pleased to announce the third annual SASSY Awards program.

The SASSY Awards honour youth aged 16 to 21 who are living in Surrey or White Rock and are making a difference in our community by demonstrating the Rotary ideal of “Service Above Self”.

Seven Awards will be presented in the categories of:

Against-the-Odds                    Humanitarian
Athletic and Sportsmanship     Performing and Visual Arts
Community Service                 Youth Leadership
Environmental Leadership

Each Award recipient receives a $1,000 bursary, as well as $500 to donate to a registered charity of their choice and a stylized SASSY Award trophy.

All Award nominees will have a chance to win the trip of a lifetime courtesy of White Rock Travel and G Adventures

The 3rd Annual SASSY Awards Show will be held the evening of Friday Nov.1st at the Bell Centre for Performing Arts in Surrey. It will be an inspiring evening celebrating youth achievement in our community and features:

Entertainment Performances by local talented Youth Auditions to perform at the Awards Show will be held in September.

Proceeds from the SASSY Awards go toward youth related projects by local Interact and Rotaract Clubs, furthering the theme of “Youth helping Youth”.

Tickets for Nov.1st SASSY Awards Show are $15 for students / $25 for Adults and go on sale over the summer.
